Quicksilver - mapping the exhibit

2015, performance in a public space, time-lapse footage

Quicksilver - mapping the exhibit is a performance realized in an alternative exhibit space curated by ButterVlies Art Productions. The public venue was used to exhibit artwork by Balamuc - a Timisoaran artist collective. In an hour-long performance I am mapping the exhibit space - the actual physical public space, that becomes an art museum for an hour, the personal space between the spectator and the performer, the space as an existential experience, the auratic space of an artwork. Like mercury, the performance has two states - the solid and the liquid one. The solid time state is the moment in which the performance took place. The liquid one is a time-lapse video reminiscence of it.
